The Modello installation guide contains details on the critical installation factors that will deliver the best pattern presentation for your deck.
Accuracy is key to the overall finish of Modello decks, and the recommended approach is to measure and install every 5th board and then infill with the rest of the boards to ensure the pattern is maintained inline.
Our installation guide should be followed at all times to achieve the best possible results.
Modello pattern offsets are based on 400mm centres, so some patterns may not be suitable for commercial installations without sub-frame adjustment.
Modello decking uses the same unique Lastane® material coating as other Millboard decking products with Lost Head fixings. Due to the unique textured finish of Modello boards, the fixings can leave a range of witness mark appearance depending where the screws are applied. Using a silicone spray as a lubricant on the screws can help to reduce these marks.
Modello warranty will be in line with our existing decking products.
Yes Modello can be used for steps, however our specific edging products should be used on the edges of the steps. Please note: visual depth perception may be affected when using Modello on steps.
Modello boards can be installed without complicated subframe configurations.
The ideal companion to our all-weather composite decking is our DuoSpan subframe system, which will ensure continually consistent support for the best Modello finish.
Modello boards must be face-fixed to ensure the pattern integrity is maintained. Please refer to the installation guide for additional information.
Modello patterns can be planned to minimise wastage but, as with all decking installations, there will be some waste.
Prior to fixing, the boards will need to be laid out to check the design has been offset at the optimum point to allow offcuts to be usable.
